Brief Summary of Jessica’s Case
10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway was kidnapped on her way to school on October 5, 2012. Her body was found five days later in a field in Arvada. Authorities say Austin Sigg, then 17, confessed to the kidnapping and slaying. He was arrested October 23.
Sigg, who turned 18 in jail, is charged with 18 counts related to Jessica’s death, as well as an attack on a jogger at Ketner Lake over Memorial Day weekend last year. Five of those counts carry mandatory life sentences.

My heart goes out to Jessica’sfamily. I can’t imagine the pain they must be experiencing. My daughter was 10 once,with blonde hair and glasses. I still have her in my life. Jessicas mother doesnt have that luxury anymore because of this person.I pray every day that justice is served for Jessica and her family. It wont bring her back, but this man must be punished for this heinous crime.

Wonderful job defense! This man, Sigg, CONFESSED to everything. Its all on the 911 transcripts. He confessed. He said he would cooperate, and he has. He even led the cops to the remains.. IN HIS HOUSE. His DNA was all over her clothes, backpack and remains and you are seriously going to do this to the Ridgeway Family?! You are going to subject them to the pain and horror of a trial?? Where is closure for them? Even had there been a shred of healing in the process, you tore a gaping hole in their hearts again by having him enter a not guilty plea. Where is your humanity? Its all about the money! You are as heartless as the Casey Anthony defense team. How do you sleep at night or face your mirror every morning?! NOW, instead of putting away this demon for a long, long time and knowing he cannot hurt another child, you are going to prep him for trial. A long, drawn out, expensive, painful trial. WHY? Money? Im so sorry Ridgeway family for your pain. I think about Jessica every single day and have cried for her more than you know. I have a little girl her age with glasses who loves Monster High and I hold her a little closer everyday and pray to God that your pain at some point becomes something you can move through on to light and healing…I cannot fathom how much your heart must hurt right now. I just wish I could hug you all, hold your hands and be with you all through this painful process. I thought his defense team would do the right thing, by Jessica, but I was wrong. It may be wrong to wish some prison justice on Sigg, but I do. There would be no need for that trial if someone on the inside stood up for her.

I remember the day when It came up on the news about her disappearance, I have been following the case since day one. My heart breaks and I too want to see Justice being done. It’s sickening to see how our earthly justice system is broken and it takes forever to see bad people locked away for life where they belong.
Sarah, once again I think of you and this terrible nightmare you have had to indure and continue to indure. I wish for you and your family that this individual would have given you some closure if only in the courts. I’m sorry this individual continues to afflect your daily life. To Jessica’s family, I hope this unbearable tragedy you have gone through will somehow have some closure when at least when this young psychopath finally gets HIS justice. Although I never personally knew Jessica just seeing her pictures and reading about her really really touched me, as there seemed to be something so special about her. I am touched every time I look at her angelic,beautiful face,which radiates positiveness,kindness,playfulness. What a wonderful soul she was on earth and IS in Heaven now. Just like many others,my heart was grieved the moment I heard that Jessica had just disappeared; then remembered the complete sorrow felt once the news broke that she had been so callously murdered. It seemed completely surreal to think that anyone could look into this little angel’s face and do what had been done. Like others, I prayed that at least let God reveal the killer soon. I truly believe that it is just by the grace of God, that this individual was caught so quickly, or else he could be out there doing his disgusting deeds on more innocents for years to come. His poor mother, who actually called the police, must be grieving too that he could have done such a horrible and evil act to a child. Now then, this coward is pleading not guilty, why? Sorry Dude, you already admitted the truth and with all the evidence collected nothing you do now is going to change your fate soon, so why try and drag the whole thing out? You will in the end be locked away in prison for the rest of your life on this earth,next to many in prison that hate child killers(at least you still have a life on earth, unlike Jessica). Now Jessica is in Heaven with the Lord. Imagine what is awaiting you after this life if you don’t truly repent for what you did to her. In the Bible, Jesus spoke with love for children and the terrible fates of those that would harm one. Eternity in Hell means eternal torture, forever and ever.
